+How much does recovery cost?

Recovery starts with a $100 CAD dispatch fee plus $1.25 CAD per kilometre based on route distance. Your quote shows the dispatch fee, distance charge, any out-of-zone pickup fee, and estimated total before final confirmation.

+Is my item guaranteed to be recovered?

No. Each request is assessed individually. While we make every effort to recover your item, recovery cannot be guaranteed. Success depends on many factors including item location, condition, and access.

+How long does recovery take?

AfterDusk manually reviews every request for immediate dispatch. Once confirmed, the driver is dispatched immediately and is usually on the road within 10 minutes. Timing still depends on location, item accessibility, and current driver availability.

+Do you recover stolen items?

No. We only recover forgotten or left-behind items. We cannot help with stolen goods, and we do not recover illegal items, weapons, drugs, or anything unsafe. See our Restricted Items Policy for details.

+What if I'm not sure the location has my item?

You can still submit a request. Mark "Unknown" for whether the item was confirmed found. Our team will check with the location and contact you if needed.

+Do you offer payment plans?

No. Payment is due when your request is accepted. We do not accept COD. AfterDusk never stores card numbers, and payment is handled through secure payment providers or approved electronic payment methods.

+What if my item is at a location after hours?

We offer after-hours and critical urgency levels. Select these options when submitting your request. After-hours recovery may cost more than standard recovery.

+Can I request recovery from another city?

Yes. AfterDusk is based in the Niagara Falls area, with a mapped core pickup/service area covering the Niagara/GTA corridor. We can recover and deliver items anywhere in Canada, subject to owner approval, route feasibility, legal/safety restrictions, vehicle capacity, and customer confirmation.

+What happens if pickup is outside the core service area?

You can still submit the request. If pickup is outside our mapped core service area, an out-of-zone pickup fee may apply. If the item is being brought back into the core service area, that extra fee may be waived. The quote page will show the pickup zone, drop-off zone, fee status, and estimated total before owner confirmation.

+What payment methods do you accept?

We accept approved card or electronic payment methods. We do not accept COD. No payment is captured until AfterDusk reviews and accepts the job.
